In 2000, the Danone Group decided to create its own international soccer tournament for children aged 10 to 12 years old: the Danone Nations Cup!
18 years later, the Danone Nations Cup has earned immense credibility in the world of Football. Far from being just a tournament, the Danone Nations Cup is a unique and memorable experience for everyone involved.
More then just soccer
La chose qui m’a marqué le plus est que les enfants s’amusaient comme des petits fous après la remise de la coupe.
Ils avaient oublié la compétition, ils couraient les uns après les autres, s’arrachaient leurs drapeaux nationaux et faisaient des culbutes. Mes garçons sont revenus émerveillés de leurs voyages avec le rêve de devenir comme Zidane un jour.
Inutile de dire que c’est la plus belle expérience de leur jeune vie. Jouer à Wembley les a marqués à jamais.
Merci à ce PDG qui a eu la formidable idée de réaliser le rêve de nos enfants. Puisse Dieu l’aider à réaliser les siens. Merci à Dean, Guillaume, Adel et tous les organisateurs d’être simplement eux-mêmes : des gens qui aiment les enfants, des « smart people ».
To live such an experience at the tender age of 12 and represent your country is an honour and a unique opportunity.
We often hear that the Danone Nations Cup is for the kids, but know that we, the adults who accompany them on this journey, are truly the lucky ones. To see children blossom and thrive throughout this adventure constitutes an immense privilege. Nothing compares to witnessing all the magical moments, the joy in the children’s eyes as their dreams come true, the heart and passion they put into their game. It is one of the most inspiring sights.
I have no doubt that in only a few years, we’ll have to pay to see your kids play!
We thank Danone for gathering the world around a soccer ball since 2000.
